Mullumbimby Community Garden offers a number of great services to the community through local employment agencies. If you're registered with an agency in the region, the garden could be the place to complete the hours you need. Ask your agency today.
Work Development Order
The NSW government offers an alternative way to pay fines if you are experiencing financial hardship or mental illness. If you have fines you're unable to pay, you may be eligible to apply for a Work and Development Order and work them off here at the garden. It's a win-win — many of our most dedicated, long-term volunteers started with us this way.
Fines are paid off at $30 per hour, and we ask for regular attendance.

- Your licence (or photo ID).
- A copy of your fine.
- If on Centrelink — an income statement or CRN number. If not — a 3-month bank statement or 3 payslips.
You need to be earning less than
- Single person
- $779 per week
- Single + 1 child
- $953 per week
- Single + 2 children
- $1,039 per week
- Couple
- $987 per week
- Couple + 1 child
- $1,142 per week
